It's important for communes to offer places where the remains of the deceased can be laid to rest. This is the role of two types of monument proposed by Granimond: theossuary and the vaults.
The ossuary, a place to store bones
An ossuary is a place where the bones of the deceased are deposited. Its origins go back a very long way, as human beings have always been concerned to respect their departed loved ones.
Today, the ossuary is a monument of modular size and shape, located in the communal cemetery. It is buried and sealed at the top by a slab or a door. Signage is added to identify it clearly, so that anyone wishing to visit can do so in peace.
The function of the ossuary is tohouse the bones of the deceased, whose burial plot has expired. It is an important symbolic place of remembrance and respect for all those who left us long ago. It thus enables the continuity of remembrance, in the context of the resumption of concessions.
The vault, for storing several coffins
A burial vault is a monument made up of several compartments, allowing the storage of different coffins, generally those of members of the same family. They are installed in the ground and can accommodate from one to ten coffins. Each coffin is separated from the others by a concrete or polymer slab, which protects them from humidity.
This monument preserves the remains of the deceased over a long period of time, and brings together close relatives. Of course, each cemetery can have several vaults, depending on its size.
Granimond offers you a sustainable solution
We are committed to providing local authorities with products that are solid, aesthetically pleasing and respectful of the environment. That's why, backed by our expertise, we have developed a range of polymer-based ossuaries and vaults based on recent technological developments.
Recycled polymer material has technical qualities that make it superior to concrete, which is also used. It is lighter (and therefore easier to handle) and more resistant over the long term, particularly to humidity. This makes it an interesting choice in terms of sustainable development.
What's more, we've chosen to highlight materials whose manufacture respects environmental criteria.
When we set up a vault or an ossuary in a commune, we follow a strict methodology for taking back concessions.
Helping you choose your funeral and cinerary monuments
Whether you're a local authority or a municipality, you need support in your choice of funerary monuments, in terms of size, shape, material used... That's why we provide you with a free personalized estimate and simulation based on your needs and constraints. This 3D simulation enables you to present your project at a town council meeting.
We also offer you services that are always in line with legislation, and keep you informed of any developments in this area.
Burial vaults and ossuaries are important monuments in a cemetery, allowing everyone to remember those who have passed away. Granimond offers a range adapted to your needs, while respecting current environmental constraints.
